Ready to elevate your coffee skills but struggling with steaming milk or pouring latte art? It’s frustrating when your drinks don’t look or taste the way you want — and that’s exactly why this session exists.
In this 2.5-hour Advanced Barista Training, you’ll build on your espresso foundation and gain the confidence to steam milk perfectly, whether it’s dairy, soy, or coconut. You’ll learn the techniques behind classics like flat whites, cappuccinos, or lattes — and master basic latte art to impress yourself and others.
You’ll also learn how to dial in your grinder precisely and care for your equipment to keep everything running smoothly.
This session is designed for those who have completed the Barista Training Essentials first, as it builds on that foundation to give you full confidence in making complete milk-based espresso drinks.
As with the Essentials, this training is fully tailored to you. Choose:
One-on-One: $295 — personalised coaching just for you.
Tandem: Two people $330 / $165 per person — bring a buddy and learn side-by-side for a combined fee of $330. This covers both students, and bookings must be made together. (Sorry, individual half-price bookings aren’t available.)
Held in Luggate, with class times tailored to your schedule — but preferably on Mondays, Thursdays, or Fridays. All beans, equipment, and materials are provided, plus a fresh bag of coffee to take home.
Take your passion further — book your spot today and start creating coffee drinks you’ll be proud to share.
Meet Your Trainer - Jana Kettnerova
I’ve been in the coffee industry for over a decade, bringing together rich coffee cultures from Europe, Canada, and New Zealand. My journey has taken me through roles as a barista, head barista, barista trainer, and now a coffee roaster.
I’m also certified in Q Cupping Essentials from the Coffee Quality Institute, which means I understand coffee quality from the bean to the cup.
I’m passionate about sharing this knowledge in an approachable and fun way, helping you build confidence and skill to craft coffee you love. More than that, I want to inspire you to fall in love with all things coffee — the stories, the science, and the simple joy of a great cup.
